The Placer County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Auburn couple for stabbing a man in North Auburn Thursday evening.
Crimes Against Persons detectives arrested Anthony Manuel Najera, 27, and Cora Lee Najera, 29, and booked them at the Placer County Jail last night. Anthony is charged with attempted murder and Cora is being held on related charges, including a parole violation.

The 24-year-old victim, who also resides in Auburn, was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening wounds.
The stabbing occurred at the Rock Creek Plaza at the corner of Highway 49 and Bell Road. A caller reported the incident to sheriff’s 911 dispatch center at 6:43 p.m. When deputies arrived, they found the victim had been stabbed numerous times. Detectives were called to the scene, and soon identified the suspects. Both were located a short time later and taken into custody. The involved vehicle was also located and seized for evidence.
Anthony and Cora Najera are both being held without bail.
