The City of Rocklin will make presentations to the winners of the annual Roy and Peggy Ruhkala Community Service Awards at a reception to be held on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Finnish Temperance Hall on Rocklin Road.

On April 3, 2007, at about 12:10 AM, Rocklin Police Department officers responded to the parking lot of Taco Bell at 4340 Rocklin Rd. in response to a suspicious circumstance call: a man was sleeping in the driver's seat of a vehicle

On March 22, 2007, at about 2:44 AM, Rocklin Police Department officers and the Rocklin Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 6200 block of Barrington Hills Dr. in Rocklin.

The Rocklin Police Department, in cooperation with the Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) and the State Office of Traffic Safety, conducted its second undercover operation in an 18-month program to check, monitor and cite liquor licensees who are caught selling alcoholic beverages unlawfully to minors.

The Rocklin Police Department will soon be conducting our annual weapons destruction. The Property and Evidence Unit will be destroying an accumulation of firearms.

On December 31, 2006, at just before midnight, an argument and then a fight broke out in the rear parking lot area of the Ridgeview Apartments in Rocklin.

On November 28, 2006, at about 4:20 PM, a Rocklin resident was car jacked at gunpoint in the area of Lonetree Blvd. and Redwood Dr. by two subjects.

Members of the public are invited to attend a candlelight vigil on October 9, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in honor of the service and sacrifice of Officer Matt Redding, who was killed in the line of duty on that date last year.
