A press release from the Rocklin Police Department dated May 29th, 2008, detailed the vandalism of more than 17 vehicles that had occurred during the previous night time hours. Most of the vandalism occurred in the Rocklin Road/Sierra College Blvd area. On that date, Rocklin Police Officers responded to a report of slashed tires, sprayed painted vehicles, and a motorcycle that was knocked over and spray painted.

The Rocklin Police Department asked residents who may have witnessed suspicious activity to call our investigators.

Thanks to the extensive media coverage on that day, detectives received a call from a neighbor who heard air hissing sounds on the night of the crime spree and looked out the window. The witness provided a very basic, but unique, vehicle description. Based upon that information, and great investigative work by the entire detective unit, a search warrant was obtained and executed this morning in the Mosquito area of El Dorado County. Two subjects were arrested as a result.

Arrested were Carolyn Gail Blair, 63 years, and Brigett Rochelle Moore, 36 years, both of El Dorado County. They were booked for 23 felony vandalism charges and a conspiracy charge in the Placer County Jail. No bail has yet been set.

Blair is the ex-wife of one of the victims of the vandalism and who had a recent court decision, with that victim, that did not go in her favor. Moore is her daughter. It is believed that other vehicles were damaged in an attempt to hide the specific crime against the specific victim.

Estimated damages from the acts of vandalism totaled over $24,000. 26 separate vehicles were damaged.
