Argument precedes shooting on First Street

Lincoln, Calif.- On Thursday, June 16th, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers from the Lincoln Police Department responded to the 900 block of First Street on a report of multiple shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old male victim with a single gun shot wound to his lower extremities. The victim was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center where he was treated for a non-life threatening injury and released a short time later.

The shooting suspect is a 16- year-old male who is known to the victim.

Prior to the shooting, an argument took place outside the First Street home between the suspect and the victim. A female Lincoln resident, Lavada Keen, 37, allegedly attempted to run downย  the victim with her vehicle. The victim was then shot and Keen fled the area in a vehicle with the shooting suspect. The shooting suspect is Keen’s son. Keen later returned to the scene where she was taken into custody without incident.

Keen was booked into the Placer County Jail for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Harboring or Concealing a Felon. Lincoln Police Officers were unable to locate the shooting suspect or his weapon. Theย  suspect’s name is being withheld because he is a minor.ย
