Historic Old Town stabbing

Roseville Police investigators need the public’s help solving a stabbing that occurred in Historic Old Town in early June.

Just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, a 21-year-old Olivehurst man was assaulted by five or six other men outside in the 300 block of Lincoln Street. One of the men stabbed the Olivehurst man in the back. Fortunately his injury wasn’t life-threatening, and he was treated and released from a local hospital.

According to witnesses, the Olivehurst man had gotten into an altercation with another man inside Bar Basic, but they quickly separated.  Around 2 a.m., friends of both the men got into another altercation outside a restaurant in the 300 block of Lincoln Street,  where the stabbing occurred.

Anyone who was in the area on that Friday night/early Saturday morning who may have taken photos or videos of either the earlier altercation inside the bar, or the second incident outside, or who has any information about the incident is asked to contact police.
