A Rocklin house fire that began around 11:00 p.m Monday night fire gutted a Midas Avenue home. An elderly woman and young child were rescued by an off duty deputy and safely removed from the burning home. No injuries were reported.
Several fire departments responded to the blaze which was brought under containment in about an hour.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
