Child found floating in Granite Bay pool

UPDATE: Isabelle Rose Goforth, 2, of Granite Bay, was pronounced dead at Sutter Roseville Medical Center at 10:48 a.m. after being found in a neighbor’s pool on Fallsbrook Court at 10:05 a.m. The incident is under investigation, but appears accidental.

At approximately 10:00a.m. this morning, a 2-year old girl from Granite Bay was reported missing. South Placer Fire Department vehicles were dispatched and upon arrival were notified that the child was found floating in a pool, according to South Placer Fire spokesman Lawrence Bettencourt.  CPR was immediately administered while an ambulance and additional vehicles were dispatched.

The young girl was transported to Sutter Roseville Hospital while CPR was being performed.
