Placer SPCA Ranked 4-Stars for Eighth Consecutive Year

Roseville, Calif.- Placer SPCA is proud to announce that for the eighth year in a row, we have received four out of four stars from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator, for our sound fiscal management practices and commitment to accountability and transparency.

Placer SPCA ranks in the top 1% of charities that has received 4-stars for eight consecutive years, indicating that our organization outperforms most other charities in the country.

“Placer SPCA’s coveted 4-star rating puts them in a very select group of high-performing charities,” according to Ken Berger, President and CEO, Charity Navigator. “Out of the thousands of nonprofits Charity Navigator evaluates, only one out of four earns 4-stars. Founded in 1973, the Placer SPCA has continued to play an active role in serving the animals and the people of our community. We are dedicated to facilitating the humane treatment of animals in Placer County as well as a safer, healthier community overall. The Placer SPCA is funded solely by donations, grants, bequests and fees for service.
