“Placer SPCA’s coveted 4-star rating puts them in a very select group of high-performing charities,” according to Ken Berger, President and CEO, Charity Navigator. “Out of the thousands of nonprofits Charity Navigator evaluates, only one out of four earns 4-stars. Placer SPCA’s supporters should feel much more confident that their hard-earned dollars are being used efficiently and responsibly.”

Founded in 1973, the Placer SPCA has continued to play an active role in serving the animals and the people of our community. We are dedicated to facilitating the humane treatment of animals in Placer County as well as a safer, healthier community overall. The Placer SPCA is funded solely by donations, grants, bequests and fees for service.

“It’s important for those who invest in our organization – our donors – to know we are responsibly managing our resources.” says Leilani Fratis, CEO, Placer SPCA. “Our transparency also provides a clear picture of the impact our donor dollars have on the people and animals we serve.”

The Placer SPCA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, not affiliated with any other entity and does not receive funding from the ASPCA or HSUS.
