Rocklin, CA – On Wednesday, October 21 from 10:00 – 2:00 pm, free flu shots, open to the community at large.

The flu shots will be offered at the Sierra College Rocklin Campus Quad (between building J – cafeteria and building L). The Rocklin Campus is located at 5000 Rocklin Road, in Rocklin. Parking permits are required and can be purchased for $3 at machines located in the campus parking lots.

The injectable flu vaccine is indicated for people 4 years of age and older, without anaphylactic egg allergy. The CDC is recommending that all age groups get a flu shot with few exceptions. This flu shot clinic is sponsored by the Sierra College Health Center. The vaccine is provided by the State of California. Photo identification is required.  This clinic is open to community members, staff and students.

Influenza is a serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and sometimes even death. Every flu season is different, and influenza infection can affect people differently. Even healthy people can get very sick from the flu and spread it to others. During the flu season, viruses are circulating at higher levels. An annual seasonal flu vaccine is the best way to reduce the chances that you will get seasonal flu and spread it to others.
