Cupertino – Meg Whitman, Republican candidate for Governor, today announced the endorsement of 37 mayors, former mayors and council members from throughout California.
Whitman said she is honored to receive the endorsement of these dedicated local officials who understand how the state’s wasteful spending and mismanagement hurts local communities. She is eager to tap their creativity and experience to help her set a new agenda for California.

The list also includes four mayors who have previously endorsed Whitman – Mayor Pringle, former Fresno Mayor Alan Autry, former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan and Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin.
