Roseville, CA- Placer County has come a long way over the past 20 years. Those in attendance at this past weekend’s Taste of Placer event in Roseville noshed and imbibed on a scrumptious culinary ‘Tour De Placer County.

An enthusiastic and lively crowd of locals filled the Roseville Sport Center to sample the delicious offerings, mingle and bid on silent auction items.

Something For Everyone

The Placer County regional food and drink scene was well represented and included ethnic fare from many parts of the world including some American classics. A couple personal highlights included Sienna Modern American Restaurant’s incredible and indulgent Kobe Beef sliders to the up and coming Vegan Plate scheduled to open November 1 in Roseville. Their asparagus salad and eggplant/ cauliflower based meatballs were delicious!

Beverage options included an array of gourmet coffee, local wineries and a pair of local breweries, Moksa and Crooked Lane. Beautiful, souvenir wine glasses are included with event.

Local grocers Safeway and Raley’s offered up tasty deli displays and if you’re belly still had room, tables lined with sweet desserts that included cookies, bundt cakes and more.

An Evening of Fun for a Great Cause

In its second year, the annual event is put on by nonprofit organization Kelli’s Cookies For Goodness Bakes. Launched in 2017 with a mission to mentor, employ and inspire foster and at-risk youth in the greater Placer and Sacramento region, Taste of Placer helps raise awareness and funds for youth programs.

Placer County Fall Favorite

In just two short years, Taste of Placer has become a Fall favorite in Placer County. Be
sure to mark your calendar for next October as we expect continued sellouts going forward.
