Roseville Police Department officers arrested a 20-year-old Roseville man Friday afternoon, shortly after a take-over robbery of a bank on Foothills Boulevard. No one reported being injured during the robbery.
Just before 6 p.m. Friday, September 2, officers responded to a reported robbery in progress at Bank of America, 4012 Foothills Blvd. The suspect had entered the bank and told customers to leave due to a robbery. He pointed a handgun at bank employees, demanding money from the cash drawers and the vault.
The first officer on scene looked through the windows of the bank and saw the robber holding a handgun. The robber saw the officer standing outside, and immediately surrendered. He was taken into custody without further incident. The “handgun” used in the robbery was found to be a pellet gun designed as a replica of a Colt pistol.
John Lubeck, 20, of Roseville was arrested on suspicion of robbery. He is being held in the Placer County Jail onย $50,000 bail.
