Rocklin Woman Arrested in Day Spa Pimping Case

Rocklin, Calif. A nine-month-long Placer County Sheriff’s Office investigation led to a raid at the Penryn Day Spa Tuesday.

Two women were arrested – one for prostitution and one for pimping – after an undercover officer was solicited for sex.

Guirong Li, 54, of Monterey Park, was arrested for prostitution and Zulgerel Baker, 35, of Rocklin, was arrested for pimping.

Baker is the manager of the spa. Both were taken into custody after the solicitation and subsequent raid at the business, which is located on Penryn Road, just off of Interstate 80. Sheriff’s deputies and members of the Special Investigations Unit, a state-sponsored task force, served a search warrant and confiscated computers and financial records. A search warrant was also served at Baker’s Rocklin home.

The investigation is ongoing. Both women were released on bail early Wednesday morning.
