On December 5, 2012, Rocklin PD received a report alleging that the President of Rocklin Junior Thunder Football and Cheer Association, Stephanie Abercrombie of Rocklin, had embezzled funds that had been entrusted to her for the daily operations of the non-profit youth sports organization.
After several weeks of investigation, it was determined that Abercrombie had embezzled over $20,000 from the Rocklin Junior Thunder.
On 01/17/13 at about 0830 hours, Detectives from the Rocklin P.D. Investigative Unit responded to Abercrombie’s residence and placed her under arrest for the below listed charges. Abercrombie was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Placer County Jail in Auburn where she was booked on the listed charges. She is being held on $10,000 bail.

- 459 PC (burglary)
- 503 PC (Embezzlement $400+)
- 470(d) PC (forgery)
