Damages estimated at $30,000- $40,000
Rocklin, Calif.- On September 5th at approximately 3:42 a.m., Rocklin Police and Firefighters responded to Rocklin’s Breen Park. The toddler playground structure and a few surrounding trees were set on fire.
Upon arrival the fire was well involved and put out in about 30 minutes, according to Rocklin Fire Dept. Battalion Chief Kurt Snyder. Estimated damages are between $30,000- $40,000.
The cause has not yet been determined and is currently under investigation and labeled as suspicious.
Breen Park has been the subject of increasing vandalism and the Rocklin Police recently held a community gathering at the park to address recurring problems
