The Hall of Achievement provides the food industry with the opportunity to recognize the achievements of those individuals who, through their foresight and dedication, have enhanced California’s food distribution industry. They are people who have made a difference.  The CGA Educational Foundation was created under the direction of the California Grocers Association Board of Directors in 1992. Its mission is to provide financial assistance to advance the educational goals of CGA member company employees and their dependents and offer educational programs to advance the grocery industry.

Since 1898, the California Grocers Association has been the voice of the California food industry. CGA is a non-profit, statewide trade association representing over 300 retail members operating more than 6,000 food stores in California and Nevada, and approximately 200 grocery supplier companies. Retail membership includes chain and independent supermarkets, convenience stores and mass merchandisers. The Association is recognized as the industry leader in the areas of government and industry relations, public relations, education and communications.
