The man wanted in a string of Placer County burglaries and robberies was apprehended in Auburn Tuesday night. Placer County Sheriff’s Special Operations detectives and the Special Investigations Unit arrested David Lee Todd, 49, without incident at an Erin Drive home in Auburn at 5 p.m.
Todd had evaded capture over the past two weeks after detectives identified him as the suspect who was caught on videotape while kicking in the door and burglarizing an Auburn golf course pro shop.
Todd was booked at the Placer County Jail on charges of robbery and on a $50,000 burglary warrant. There are multiple additional charges pending against Todd involving the California Highway Patrol and the Auburn Police Department.
