Assault with a deadly weapon arrest in Rocklin

Nicholas Robert Baker, 19 years old, from Rocklin, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. Baker was booked at the Placer County Jail where he was being held on $15,000 bail.

On December 9, 2008, at about 5:00 P.M., Rocklin PD officers responded to a 9-1-1 call on Sage Court. The caller said that a victim of an assault had sought refuge in her residence and that the attacker has used a metal pipe to strike the victim. The suspect was known to the victim and witnesses and they provided officers with enough information that the suspect was located Sammy Way in Rocklin.

After a search, Rocklin Police Officers contacted and arrested the suspect in front of his residence without incident.

The victim reported being struck with a piece of a vehicle rack and suffered minor injuries to his back. The weapon was located at the scene where the suspect was arrested.
