Rocklin, Calif.- On May 21, 2007, at 5:15am, an alarm was activated at the Les Schwab Tires stores at 5610 Pacific St., Rocklin.
Officers responded to discover a truck speeding out of the parking lot. A short vehicle chase ensued and, after the driver of the truck crashed into a block wall at a different shopping vendor across the street, there was a foot chase. The driver of the truck, Shawn Coon, 34 years, of Sacramento, was arrested by Rocklin PD Officers.
The investigation indicated that the store was broken into and four tires and rims worth about $3,500.00 were stolen. The truck used in the crime was an unreported stolen vehicle out of Sacramento.
Coon was booked at the Placer County Jail for various charged including burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle, evading police officers, hit and run, and resisting arrest.
