Lincoln, Calif. – The Lincoln Police Department recently responded to a personal injury accident involved three youth on their way to school.

On March 26th, at approximately 7:41am, Lincoln police responded to a reported traffic collision involving a single vehicle and pedestrians at the intersection of J Street and 2nd Street.

A preliminary investigation determined that a 2001 Chevrolet 1500 Pickup, blue in color, was southbound on J Street approaching 2nd Street when the vehicle struck three juveniles in the crosswalk. The juveniles were reportedly crossing from the east to the west on the north side of the intersection at the time of the collision.

Two of the three juveniles were transported from the scene by ambulance as a precaution after both reported physical pain and discomfort. They were subsequently evaluated by medical staff at Sutter Roseville Medical Center and released. The third juvenile did not require medical treatment.

The driver of the vehicle was identified is believed to have been traveling less than 20 miles per hour when his vehicle struck the juveniles and is reported to not have seen the juveniles prior to the collision.  Investigators on scene found no evidence suggesting the driver was under the influence at the time of this incident.
