Aiming to improve cannabis regulatory program

STOCKTON, Calif. – The City of Stockton Community Development Department has initiated a project that will result in updates and revisions to the City’s current cannabis ordinance and policy.

The Cannabis Policy Amendment Project will review the City’s current cannabis regulatory program, including current market demands, existing business locations, allowable land uses, and equity and barriers to entering the market.

In addition to review of existing conditions, the project will analyze best practices within other communities, crime statistics, and market research through community-based meetings and interviews.
