At 3:02 p.m. on Sunday, October 17, Roseville Police Department officers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Church Streetย  near Circuit Drive.

The driver, a 20-year-old woman from Roseville, was driving her 1989 BMW sedan eastbound on Church Street when she failed to negotiate a curve near Circuit Drive. The BMW left the roadway, colliding first with a tree and then with a building on the Union Pacific Railroad Yard property.ย ย  The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was transported by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where she is listed in critical condition.

Investigators noted that slippery roadways caused by the first major rain of the season may have contributed to the crash, and that they saw no obvious signs of alcohol or other drug use.

The collision is being investigated by the Roseville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team
