On 12-04-11 at approximately 1:53 PM, Rocklin police officers responded to a call of a robbery at the “Beads and Treasures” located at 3101 Sunset Boulevard in Rocklin.
An officer responding to the scene observed a female matching the description the store had provided of the suspect walking down the street near the Beads and Treasures store.
When the officer approached the female suspect on foot, the suspect turned and attempted to get away from the officer. The suspect was apprehended and resisted arrest by trying to further escape from the officer. She was handcuffed and all of the stolen property was recovered from her possession.
The employee who witnessed the robbery identified the female as the same suspect who robbed her inside the store.
The employee reported that the female suspect stole the property by force and she then fled the scene. No weapons were used.
Donna Marie Clayton 49 years old from Rocklin was arrested for Robbery (211 P.C.) and Resisting Arrest (148(a)(1) P.C.) Clayton was booked at the Placer County Jail in Auburn.
