Recently, Roseville Police officers arrested a man suspected of breaking into a car in the Vernon Street parking garage.

At 5:31 a.m. December 19, officers responded to a silent alarm activation in the area of the parking garage in the 400 block of Vernon Street.  They found that someone had broken out the window of a car, and taken video games and other items.  The officers soon located a suspect on foot nearby, and they recovered the stolen items.

The Roseville Police Department is committed to reducing vehicle burglaries, using tactics such as video surveillance, silent alarms and trackable “bait” property deployed in areas where vehicle burglars are known to operate.ย  We also urge the public to not be “sitting ducks” for vehicle burglars.ย  Always roll up all windows, lock your car and remove all valuable property; and remember that at home, the safest place to park your car is inside your locked garage.
