70 year old arrested on sexual child abuse charges

Placer County Sheriff’s detectives arrested an Auburn man on suspicion of child abuse Thursday evening.
 
Belden Morgan, 70, was taken into custody on charges of continual sexual abuse of a child.  He is being held at the Placer County Jail on $1.5 million bail.
 
 The Sheriff’s Office was made aware of the alleged abuse that happened several years ago and conducted an investigation, resulting in the suspect’s arrest. The investigation is ongoing, which limits the release of further information at this time.
