Detectives from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Fair Oaks man who came to Auburn for what he thought was a sexual rendezvous with a 13-year-old girl. Instead, he was met by detectives who had answered his online ad.
Timothy Robert Nosal, 48, originally attracted the attention of detectives with an online ad. A detective corresponded with Nosal for several weeks, posing as a 13-year-old girl. During his lunch hour today, Nosal drove from his job in Rancho Cordova for a planned meeting with the “girl” at Ashford Park in Auburn. Instead, he was arrested and booked at the Placer County Jail without incident.
Nosal, who works as an environmental scientist, was charged with communicating with a minor with the intent to commit a sexual act and attempted lewd and lascivious acts with someone under the age of 14. His bail is set at $100,000.
