Rocklin, Calif.- On 01-21-2014, at approximately 10:16 PM, Rocklin Police officers responded to a strong armed robbery in progress in the 5400 block of Crossings Drive.ย
Male suspects had attempted to steal alcohol and assaulted a Loss Prevention Agent who was attempting to detain them as they exited the business.
One of the suspects fled the parking lot in a vehicle. An officer saw the vehicle as it was getting on to eastbound I-80 and the driver failed to yield to the officer’s emergency lights and siren. A short vehicle pursuit began. Two Placer County Sheriff’s Department deputies joined the pursuit and the suspect stopped in Loomis where the driver was taken into custody without incident.
A second suspect was arrested at the store.
Arrested
William Robert Hawkyard, 18 years, Lincoln, for robbery, burglary, conspiracy and evading a peace officer.ย He is being held at Placer County Jail on $50,000 bail.
Kenna Martine Beck, 18 years, of Loomis, burglary, conspiracy and possession of marijuana.ย He is being held on $10,000 bail.
