Roseville, Calif.- A 13-year-old Roseville girl was seriously injured after she was struck by a pickup truck yesterday evening.
At 6:51 p.m. Tuesday, the girl walked onto westbound Pleasant Grove Boulevard between Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard and the Mahany Park complex, where she was struck by a 1991 Dodge Ram pickup. Officers said the pickup driver, a 17-year-old male from Roseville, did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol or other drugs, and was not traveling at an excessive speed.
The girl was taken by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where she is being treated for her injuries. The westbound lanes of Pleasant Grove Boulevard between Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard and Michener Drive were closed for approximately five and a half hours while investigators examined the scene. The Roseville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the investigation.
