Pedestrian struck in Downtown Roseville

Roseville, Calif.- At 1:47 p.m. today, a pedestrian was struck by a bus on Vernon Street in downtown Roseville. The pedestrian, a Roseville resident in her 80s, was in the crosswalk at Vernon Street and South Grant Street when an Amtrak bus turning right onto Vernon Street struck her, crushing her lower leg.ย 

She was transported by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where she is currently listed in critical condition.

The intersection is closed to traffic while the Roseville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team examines the scene.  It is anticipated that the closure will continue until after 7 p.m.
