Jeff Collins, a health-care executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience, has been appointed the senior vice president and area manager for Kaiser Permanente, Roseville.
Collins previously was the Kaiser Permanente senior vice president and area manager for Fresno and started his new position February 1. He is responsible for all local health plan and hospital services at the 340-bed Roseville Medical Center and, partnering with physician leaders, oversees the health care of more than 273,000 Kaiser Permanente members.
Before joining Kaiser Permanente, Collins had been with hospital systems in three states including California (Doctors Hospital of Lakewood), Florida (Seven Rivers Community Hospital, Sun Coast Hospital) and Michigan (Bon Secours Cottage Health Services, Beaumont Hospitals and Central Michigan Community Hospital).
During his time in Fresno, Kaiser Permanente experienced significant membership growth in that service area. He oversaw a rebranding and repositioning effort and under his tenure, the hospital was awarded accolades from The Leapfrog Group, The Joint Commission, American Heart and Stroke Association and US News & World Report.
Collins, 58, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Saint Cloud State University in St. Cloud MN, and a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration from California State University, Long Beach.
He fills the position made vacant with the retirement of senior vice president and area manager Ed Glavis.
