Rocklin, Calif. – Department responded to the Stop N Go liquor store at 4439 Rocklin Rd. for an armed robbery. The armed suspect entered the store and showed the clerk a handgun in his waist band. The suspect demanded the clerk to give him the money from the register.

The clerk placed the cash drawer on the counter and the suspect removed the money. The suspect then fled the store on foot into a commercial business area.

A witness to the crime saw the robbery taking place and chased the suspect as he exited the store into the parking lot. The witness saw the suspect getting into a vehicle parked nearby. The witness watched the suspect changing his clothing, exit the vehicle and walk away from the vehicle.
 
A few minutes later Rocklin Police Officers were directed by the witness to the suspect as he was walking nearby. Officers contacted the suspect and placed him under arrest. The suspect is identified as Carter Massey, age 25 of Granite Bay.
 
No reports of injury have been made in this case. A vehicle suspected to belong to Massey was towed and police are writing a search warrant in the hope of retrieving the stolen money as well as any evidence to the crime. 

Nine days ago, on 11-23-2015, the Rocklin Police Department had arrested and booked the same suspect, Carter Massey, into the Placer County jail for an unrelated felony crime of vehicle burglary. Massey was released from the Placer County Jail on 11-26-2015.
