Beatles fans pack the house at Thunder Valley
Lincoln, CA- Beatles and pop music fans streamed into Thunder Valley on Friday night as Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band delivered an array of hits to a packed house of Placer County area fans.
Appearing extraordinarily younger than his 79 years, the trim and energetic Ringo ran onto the stage to join his band just after 7:30 pm.
All Starr Band
His All Starr Band consists of a cross section of fantastic musical veterans that include Steve Lukather, Gregg Rolie, Hamish Stuart, Gregg Bissonette, Colin Hay and Warren Ham.
The show follows an unconventional and entertaining round-robin format which highlights some of each members most iconic songs. From Santana, Toto, Men at Work, The Average White Band to naturally Ringo and Beatles songs, there was opportunity for all members to really showcase some of their finest musical moments.
The audience took a little time to warm up, but by the time Ringo and the guys lit into Yellow Submarine, everyone was all aboard as the atmosphere suddenly became light and loose with a full sing-a-along to the Beatles 1966 classic. For the remainder of the evening, fans were dancing and singing along to all the hits.
In true Placer County tradition, clear and warm summer skies provided the backdrop in an exceptionally rare opportunity for fans to catch one of the Beatles shine, all with a little help from his friends. Right here at Thunder Valley.
