Jackson Family Wines to host July 27th Event
SANTA ROSA, Calif. – Jackson Family Wines in partnership with local personality Erika Altes, better known as Whiskey & Lace, will host “Wine, Bites and Bids,” a walk-around charity event and fundraiser on Tuesday, July 27, 2021.
The event will take place at La Crema Estate at Saralee’s Vineyard, and benefit Sonoma County’s The Six Foundation, a local nonprofit and post traumatic fitness and rehabilitation clinic serving fire fighters, first responders, police officers, and veterans. All money raised will benefit local Sonoma County heroes.
“Our communities rely on these guardians every day to keep us healthy and safe.”Sonya McVay, Founder of The Six Foundation
The fundraiser will feature a walk-around tasting of select wines from the Jackson Family Wines’ Sonoma County portfolio, including La Crema, Kendall-Jackson, Copain, and Matanzas Creek, as well as craft beers from Seismic Brewing Co., paired with small bites and gourmet appetizers from local restaurant partners: KIN, Sweet T’s Restaurant + Bar, Jackson’s Bar and Oven, Oliver’s Market, Ausiello’s Bar & Grill, Grossman’s Noshery & Bar. The event will also feature a number of exciting silent auction lots, valued from $500 up to $10,000, including a weekend stay in West Shore Lake Tahoe that includes lift tickets to Homewood Mountain Resort, a Mayacama Golf Club package, an Olive + Rose boutique package, private culinary and wine experiences, tickets to the Kendall-Jackson Farm to Table dinner series; and a raffle to win a one-year wine club membership at La Crema and more.
Jackson Family Wines CEO Rick Tigner commented, “We’re proud to support The Six Foundation, and the first responders of Sonoma County, who have been instrumental in keeping our communities safe. We understand the importance of keeping these men and women in good health and having access to the care they need through organizations such as The Six Foundation.”
Sonya McVay, Founder of The Six Foundation stated, “Our communities rely on these guardians every day to keep us healthy and safe.” She continues, “The Six Foundation was founded on the belief that one who puts their life on the line for their community, deserves a community to provide care back. If a professional sports player gets a team of treatment professionals, so does the fire fighter who saved my home, the veteran who fought for my freedom, the law enforcement officer who protects my streets and the people that took those calls. The Six Foundation is here to make sure our first responders have a place to get treatment and to stay healthy and safe.”
