Water and Sewer Utilities extended to the Future Site

STOCKTON, Calif. – The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is constructing a new Medical Campus on federal property located at 6505 Manthey Road, which is located outside the city limits in French Camp, an unincorporated area of San Joaquin County.

The City supported the development of the project and the benefits that will be provided to Veterans throughout the region.

To facilitate the design and construction of the water and sanitary sewer utility services in accordance with the City Utility Master Plans, the Municipal Utilities Department (MUD) has taken the project lead under special project circumstances to plan, design, and construct the connection-ready utility services for the VA Medical Campus.

Construction, which includes the excavation for and installation of large capacity sewer and water pipes in the vicinity of French Camp, Wolfe, Yettner and Manthey Roads, is expected to begin in May 2021 and anticipated to be completed by October 2021. South Wolfe Road will be closed for construction starting on May 3, 2021.

Members of the community are invited to join a Virtual Open House on April 28, 2021, 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. to learn about the City of Stockton water and sewer utility connection extension project for the Veterans Affairs Medical Clinic and find out how to stay up to date on project progress.
