Local organizations fight food insecurity
Roseville, Calif.- ‘Succulents for Soups’ marks third year of giving in Roseville: Environmental Utilities encourages residents to trade canned food donations for succulents to help fight hunger and save water.
What: Roseville Environmental Utilities, in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul Society and Green Acres Nursery and Supply, is offering free succulents in return for canned goods. This provides an opportunity to promote water efficiency and support those in need.
November 12 – December 19
Residents are encouraged to donate nonperishable food items in exchange for a complimentary succulent, along with tips on water conservation to enhance water conservation. All collected food will be donated to the Roseville St. Vincent de Paul Society to help alleviate food insecurity in the community during the holiday period.
