Roseville Restaurant Fire at Country Gables Cafe

At 8:58 p.m. the Roseville Fire Department responded to a report of smoke in the area near the Country Gables Cafe located at 699 Washington Boulevard.  When firefighters arrived they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the restaurant.

A total of eight fire engines, two ladder trucks and four chief officers are currently on scene.  In addition to the Roseville Fire Department, resources from the Rocklin Fire Department also assisted in suppressing the fire.  The Sacramento Metro Fire District and South Placer Fire District assisted by providing station coverage during the incident.

The Roseville Police Department is on scene providing traffic control.  Washington Boulevard, between Elefa Street and Lincoln Street, is currently closed.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
