Nonprofits serving Placer County or Nevada County given priority

Auburn, Calif. – The United Auburn Indian Community (UAIC) is excited to announce the expansion of the UAIC Nonprofit Grant Program, including an increase in the maximum award, to up to $10,000. Applications for the spring cycle are due March 15th, and nonprofits that provide services in Placer County or Nevada County are given priority in grant consideration.

The UAIC Nonprofit Grant Program is a merit-based funding opportunity for registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits that have been in operation for at least three years and that provide direct services within the community. The Program provides funding for projects that improve the health and general welfare of the community, or that increase the area’s cultural, social, and recreational opportunities. Funding decisions are based on an evaluation of the application and supporting materials, the likely impact of the program or project for which funding is sought, and a site visit with the requesting organization.

“We recognize and value the important impact that so many nonprofit organizations make in our community,” said Gene Whitehouse, Chairman of the United Auburn Indian Community. “UAIC is proud to expand our Nonprofit Grant Program to support the people who are making a difference.”

The UAIC Nonprofit Grant Program includes two funding cycles. Grant applications are accepted in the Spring and Fall of each year. Applications for the Spring 2023 funding cycle are currently open to nonprofit organizations that provide services within Placer County, Nevada County, or the Greater Sacramento Region.
