Roseville, Calif.- Placer Food Bank (PFB) is preparing to unveil PantryToGo, a new name for the food bank’s highly utilized mobile free food distribution program in Placer County. As part of the launch, PFB is opening a new PantryToGo site at Denio’s Market in Roseville on January 7, 2022 from 8 to 10 a.m., marking a community partnership 125 cumulative years in the making.

“Our PantryToGo mobile free food distribution sites have delivered much-needed food to families throughout the region, and we continue to see an increase in demand,” said Dave Martinez, Executive Director of PFB.

“With the new site at Denio’s, we’ll be able to serve even more of our community in a place that feels familiar and safe to families.”

PantryToGo offers pantry staples and fresh produce, along with household items when available, to families who need them – no registration required. The addition of the Denio’s location brings PFB’s PantryToGo sites to 10, with this being the first in Roseville. Denio’s has graciously donated use of their land to PFB.

“We’re so grateful for the partnership with Placer Food Bank and proud to be able to open Denio’s up for this important community service,” said Eric Denio, Facilities Manager of Denio’s. “We love our city and we want to help make a positive impact however we can.”

The partnership between the two organizations is a meaningful one. Both have a long history in the City of Roseville, with Denio’s being part of the community for 75 years and PFB operating in Roseville for more than 50 years.
