Celebrate the season in Placer County’s high country

Olympic Valley, Calif. – The sights and sounds of the season are coming to the Lake Tahoe region and Palisades Tahoe is getting in the fun with opening day along with a series of upcoming events.

Palisades Tahoe is excited to welcome you to winter! Here are the events to expect as a celebration of the season opening.

Opening Day: November 22

Its time to boot up as opening day is this Wednesday, November 22. There will be skiing and riding from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Snow Ventures, food trucks, a firepit, lawn games, and a DJ from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Mountain Sports School will be offering kids lessons, and the Aerial Tram will be open for sight-seeing (weather and conditions permitting).

Thanksgiving Day: November 23

Leave the cooking to us! Olympic House will be serving a grand buffet with a complimentary glass of champagne. Dinner will be available in two seatings: 2:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. Make your reservations by Monday, November 20. Plaza Bar will be open starting at 1 p.m. showing everyone’s favorite, Thanksgiving football.

Friday and Saturday: November 24-25

Along with skiing and riding opening weekend will include a DJ, firepits, a food truck, lawn games and a box feature from terrain parks. Santa and the Elves will be in The Village from 12 to 5 p.m. with the annual tree lighting ceremony at 5 p.m. on Friday. There will be complimentary cocoa, cookies, and photos with Santa along with a Welcome to Winter retail kickoff in select stores with 20% off all hard goods, Go Pros & Accessories for Ikon passholders.

Bubbles & Brews Welcome Home Party: November 25 & December 2

Come raise your glass and celebrate your return to the mountains with us at Plaza Bar with some of Palisades Tahoe’s athletes! Featuring Chandon Sparkling from Napa Valley and local brewery selections paired with delectable appetizers you can savor live music and dance the night away. This event is for adults 21 and over.
