Non-profit festival helps Keep Music in Petaluma Schools

Petaluma, Calif. – On Saturday, July 29, 2023, the 16th Annual Petaluma Music Festival will be returning to the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds.

This grassroots festival is set to feature 14 unique and genre-spanning artists on 3 state-of-the-art stages. There will be merchandise, food, and refreshments available from local vendors. All proceeds from the event will be distributed amongst Petaluma’s public elementary and secondary schools to provide funding for their music Programs.

Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe / The English Beat

At the top of this year’s festival billing is Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, a soulful ensemble from San Diego featuring the eponymous saxophonist, flutist, and vocalist who has played with the likes of Lenny Kravitz, the Rolling Stones, and D’Angelo. Also headlining is the legendary British ska band The English Beat, led by original vocalist Dave Wakeling.

“We hope that music lovers will come out to enjoy a fantastic day of great music and community, and with their attendance, help support the music programs in our local schools. “It’s for our kids!”

Cliff Eveland, executive director
