Terra d’Oro Winery/Montevina Vineyards

The Barbera Festival, one of the top five wine festivals in California, was created to celebrate this wonderful, little known varietal. As a result, the festival has cultivated new found Barbera devotees who come from all over the world. They are passionate about Barbera and appreciate how well it pairs with a wide range of foods.

This year’s 10th annual Barbera Festival will be held September 11, 2021, surrounded by the beautiful vineyards at Terra d’Oro Winery/Montevina Vineyards, in Plymouth, Ca., where the first Barbera grapes were planted in Amador.

At the 2021 Barbera Festival, top area restaurants and caterers will present the perfect culinary pairings while local musicians fill the air with live music.

50 Wineries from All Over California

The event will feature nearly 50 wineries, all pouring Barbera, from all over California – not just Amador – including other regions in the Sierra Foothills, Paso Robles, Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake County, Ventura County, Lodi and the Bay Area.
