The young woman who died in a solo vehicle accident Monday afternoon has been identified by the Placer County Sheriff’s Department as Cassondra Mandeville, 21, of Granite Bay.
Mandeville was driving on Rocklin Road, between Sierra College Blvd. and Barton Road, when her SUV veered off the opposite side of the road. The vehicle went down an embankment and flipped 4-6 times before coming to a stop. She was ejected from the car and was not believed to be wearing a seatbelt.
The Sheriff Department’s Critical Accident Response Team, or CART, is conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident.
