Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal stabbing in Rancho Cordova that left one person dead and another injured late Thursday night.
Deputies responded to the 3500 block of Granby Drive in Rancho Cordova in response to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they located a 27 year old female victim and a 32 year old male victim inside of the residence with stab wounds. Deputy’s efforts to render lifesaving treatment to the female victim were unsuccessful and she succumbed to her injuries. The male victim was transported to a local hospital for further medical treatment.
The investigation into this crime is ongoing and the circumstances surrounding the stabbing incident remain unknown at this time.
