Walgreens, 3999 Foothills Blvd., was robbed just before 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 29. An unknown suspect jumped over the pharmacy counter and demanded the female clerk give him OxyContin, a narcotic painkilling drug. No weapon was seen. The suspect put several bottles of OxyContin and other prescription narcotics in a backpack, and rode away on a blue bicycle. The clerk was frightened by the incident, but did not report being injured.
Roseville Police officers responded to the area, and recovered a blue bicycle abandoned near a dumpster in the store’s parking lot. They were not able to locate the suspect.
The robbery suspect was described as a white male in his 20s or 30s, approximately 6′ tall and between 190 and 230 pounds. He had short, “shaggy” sandy blond hair and a beard. He wore a red hooded jacket, blue or gray pants, white sneakers, and a black face mask.
