Orangevale, Calif.- Sacramento County Sheriff Homicide Detectives are investigating a shooting and homicide that occurred in the late evening hours of May 31, 2015, within the 5600 block of Skyridge Drive in Orangevale, California.
The Sheriff Communications Center received multiple calls regarding gunshots heard in the area of Skyridge Drive and Norway Drive. When Deputies arrived, they found a white male teenager who had been shot at least one time and was lying within the front yard of residence. Medical personnel pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives are on scene and have taken over the investigation. While a motive for this homicide and suspect identity is unknown at this stage in the investigation, Detectives are asking anyone with information relating to this incident, to please contact the Sheriff’s Department at (916) 874-5115 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP.
The victim’s identity will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office pending notification to next of kin.
