Suspected intruder fatally shot in Roseville

At 9:47 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, Roseville Police and Fire personnel responded to a shooting at a residence in the 1600 block of Sierra Gardens Drive.  The female resident, an off-duty law enforcement officer with another local law enforcement agency, reported that she came home and discovered an intruder in her house. A struggle ensued, and the intruder was shot.

The male, who appears to be in his 30s, sustained gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not yet been identified.

The incident is under further investigation by the Roseville Police Department Investigations Unit.
