Roseville, Calif. – Stand Up Placer is pleased to announce the appointment of Garth Brooks as Interim Executive Director and Jenny Davidson as Chief Operating Officer.

Garth Brooks and Jenny Davidson will be working closely as a leadership team to ensure the success and sustainability of Stand Up Placer. Garth brings effective and diverse leadership experience to the role of Interim Executive Director. His leadership and management background encompasses private, nonprofit and public sectors, including five years of human services agency experience. Jenny brings 16 years of human services experience and special expertise in trauma informed services and the regulatory environment.

It’s clear we can’t achieve our mission in a vacuum. The community can expect an energized Stand Up Placer, eager to build and strengthen new and existing community partnerships.” Garth Brooks, Interim Executive Director.

Garth’s educational background includes; Master’s degree in Business, and Organizational Development Graduate work with focused on Social Innovation and Change Leadership. Garth has served on the Boards of the Sacramento Area Human Resources Association (SAHRA) and the Diversity Recruiter’s Network, responsible for inter-agency partnerships and education.

Jenny has a background that includes 16 years of service to at risk populations including survivors of domestic and sexual violence, consumers of county assistance programs, Housing and Urban Development Section 8 housing clients, high risk youth, bereaved parents support, and families parenting young children. Jenny earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and followed up with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Drexel University where Jenny served on the Graduate Student Association and is currently active with the Alumni Board. Jenny was a founding member of Drexel Pride, recognized by the Mayor of Sacramento in a Resolution to the city.

My goal is to support our direct service staff, strengthen collaboration with community partners, and ensure that our survivors are empowered to lead lives free from violence. I look forward to seeing them transform from trauma to triumph.” Jenny Davidson, Chief Operating Officer.
