The Roseville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a shoplifter who fled from a home improvement store yesterday afternoon. The shoplifter violently resisted a store employee who tried to stop him, causing injury to the employee.

At 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30, a shoplifter ran out of the back doors of Lowe’s on Fairway Drive with merchandise, and got into a waiting car driven by a second suspect.  A store employee ran after him, and was pushed out of the vehicle as the vehicle sped away.  The injured employee was taken by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, treated and released.

The shoplifter  appears to be a Hispanic or black male, wearing a white beanie cap, sunglasses, a gray t-shirt with white sleeves, and tan cargo shorts. The suspect vehicle is a tan or champagne-colored four-door sedan with a black interior.
Surveillance photos of the shoplifter and the suspects’ vehicle are attached.

Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to call the Roseville Police Department Investigations Unit at (916)774-5070, or Roseville Crime Stoppers at (916)783-7867. Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to arrest.
