Roseville, Calif.- Chrisopher Lee Jackson, 40, of Roseville, died yesterday, August 27, in a Sacramento area hospital as a result of injuries from a gunshot wound. The shooting occurred on the night of August 13 at a home on Magpie Court in west Roseville.
Roseville Police officers arrested Melvin Hunter, 86, shortly after the shooting. Hunter, who lived in the house on Magpie Court with the Jackson family, is being held without bail in the Placer County Jail.
Roseville Police detectives will request that the charges against Hunter be changed from attempted murder to murder.
