Sacramento stabbing suspect arrested in Rocklin

The Rocklin Police Department arrested Andrei Marcos Alcala, 31 years, Rocklin, on July 5th, for stabbing two individuals in West Sacramento.  

Alcala was wanted by the West Sacramento Police Department for the stabbing of relatives at a West Sacramento address on July 4th.  The attack started with a verbal argument between siblings.  However, Alcala left before police arrived.

West Sacramento PD Detectives contacted Rocklin PD Detectives and Officer Greg Cowart who used to work at the West Sacramento Police Department.  Officer Cowart conducted a stakeout of Alcala’s residence and during the evening hours he spotted Alcala. 

Rocklin PD patrol officers and the Placer County Air Operations Unit helicopter coordinated the effort to apprehend the wanted suspect.  Alcala was arrested without incident and turned over to the West Sacramento Police Department.
